2. Ruben Dias was outstanding in the premier league last season and he is regarded as the best Manchester City player in the league. The Portuguese defender performed extremely well for Pep Guardiola’s men last season and he also won the premier league player of the year award. He is one considered as one of the favorite players to win the Ballon D’Or. Ruben Dias was poor in the euros 2020 as his team was knocked out by Belgium in the quarter finals.
3. Van Dijk sustained an injury last season and he was absent throughout the season, he suffered an injury against Everton and the fans have missed their star man so much. Van Dijk is one of the best defenders in the world and the Dutch captain has been showing his class since he joined Liverpool from Southampton. Though he is still recovering from his injury and he will come back stronger next season. Van Dijk decided to stay and recovered from his injury that’s the reason why he refused to play in the euros 2020 tournament.

John Stones story under Pep Guardiola is amazing, the English centre-back lose form in the start of the season and he is having issues after the arrival of Laporte, but after Ruben Dias’s move to Manchester City from Benfica, things started going well for the 27-year-old and he finds his form back. He has a good understanding with Ruben Dias and they performed extremely well last season.
5. Thiago Silva is one of the best defenders in football history and he has been doing great things for his club and country. The Chelsea and Brazilian centre-back performed extremely well in the Copa America and the Champions League, he helped Chelsea proceeded to the final and won the trophy. He also won the fair play award in the Copa America tournament.
6. Harry Maguire is one of the top performers in the euros 2020 and the fans are really proud of him. He performed extremely well for the England national team, he was also among the players named for the team of the tournament. I think he will Harry Maguire will understand Raphael Varane better than Victor Lindelof, the fans are looking forward to seeing their performance next season.
